Truffle is a country gal who just moved to the city!
Truffle is just as sweet as chocolate and with her dark brownish black coat and giant smile, she is sure charm everyone she meets. We don’t know much about her past, she came to us from Madera where she was found as a stray. She can be shy with new people but once she knows you, Truffle will try her very best to try and convince you that she is a lap dog…ha! Because she is new to the city, she needs to learn about all the new things that comes with it. Truffle is not able to do stairs and is looking for a stair-free home (they make her really nervous). We feel that eventually she will learn that it’s okay, but ideally she would love to have a quiet home with no stairs and a yard.
She is an absolute gem and will make you wonder how they ever lived without her!
Here’s a note from her foster:
Truffle is as sweet as they come and has been the perfect houseguest since she arrived here. She has a very gentle demeanor and spends most of her days lounging in her dog bed. She likes to go on walks and can easily keep up with my two younger dogs. We walk for about 30 minutes twice a day and that’s no problem for her.
She gets along great with other dogs – we have two smaller dogs here, plus we’ve had her out socializing where she has been around big dogs and she has had no problem with any of them. We have taken her on vineyard walks, picnics with friends, and a small backyard bbq and she has done wonderful in all of these settings. She loves to be pet and will become fast friends with anyone who will give her scratches (especially behind the ear!).
At night she sleeps in a dog bed next to our bed and she sleeps quietly through the night. She is potty-trained and does not have accidents in the house, which is a nice bonus. Overall, she is the biggest sweetheart who has been super easy to have around – we love her to pieces!
