Trombone Joe is a gentleman through and through…

Gentle, sensitive soul is looking for same…Trombone Joe was abandoned and is ready to find his new forever person. His look of anticipation will melt you! He would love someone that can take him out on adventures around the neighborhood, though he doesn’t love car rides, he prefers to walk the neighborhood and smiles the whole time! He may seem aloof at first but once he knows you, he is all love. He is fine with other gentle dogs, too!

He would thrive in a calm environment. TJ will be the perfect fit for a lucky somebody, is that you?

Trombone Joe is estimated to be 11 years young and weighs 15 lbs.

Here is what his foster has to say

Perky yet soulful Trombone Joe is a loyal companion and he’s looking for the same in his human: someone who will be his “number one” and give him the time, attention and love that he can offer.

In the short time that Joe has been with me, he’s shown the ability to bond with his person. He sticks close by me wherever I am. He’s not a big cuddler (except when he’s in bed, sleeping on the covers by my side), but he never more than a few feet away. He’s got great eye contact.

Joe likes to hang, but he’s got a lot of pep as well. He loves a brisk walk and we usually take one long walk every day plus a few shorter strolls around the neighborhood. He’s good on a leash and not reactive to other dogs. He’s cordial to human visitors and very enthusiastic about people who have become his friends.

Joe has great house training skills. We’ve had no accidents! He’s also a good eater (maybe too good; he is just a tad stout).

Joe peacefully coexists with our elderly dog, but he would prefer to be “top dog” in his person’s heart and household. He can be a bit anxious when left alone, and likes some reassurance in the car.
