As handsome as he is, Trek the first-rate chihuahua is capable of some expressions, often involving a snaggletooth or side-eye, that can render you helpless with laughter. The high-flying ears help, but it’s also his gentle nature and eagerness to be friends that trigger happiness wherever he goes. Good with dogs, polite with humans, he’s on a quiet mission to connect with a loving companion and share a life of snuggles, wholesome adventures, and a few treats, if it isn’t too much trouble, Not a tall order. Not a tall dog. You in?
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Trek had no problems getting into the car. Once in the car he found the dog bed and got comfortable on that. Once home he was a bit nervous but all it took was a few treats to get him to come out into the living room and explore a little. He checked out all the dog beds in the area and decided the original one I had in the car was the best fit.
He is such a sweet boy when he saw me on the couch he wanted up too so I helped him up and we just chilled watching tv for a bit. He was a little bit of a goof ball settling in and worming around on the couch. I thought he would settle down on the couch for the night but he ended up coming up stairs with me. He slept through the night no problem.
Trek has been becoming more confident. He now tries to go after crows and squirrels on our walks. He is such a good walker on the leash and he does not pull. I tend to just let him lead the way and he loves his walks. He is completely potty trained and only goes outside. He has been going to work with me since he gets nervous when i leave him alone for too long and he has been so good at work just lounging in his dog bed under my desk or taking meetings with me in the meeting rooms. I haven’t decided if he has beef with certain stairs because he can do certain stairs but refuses to go up others. Either that or he knows he is a little prince and wants to be carried up.
Looking forward to seeing his confidence grow the longer I have him and he sure is a cutie!
