You have finally found your emotional support burrito… Here is the magnificent Tomales! At 9 years old, this chihuahua is somewhat shy, but don’t let his reserved side fool you! He has got a soft nougat center that melts with kindness (and snacks). He’s basically a four-legged introvert waiting for the right human to vibe with over a shared love of quiet mornings and soft treats. Share with him a few lovey-dovey words, a few snacks, and some consistent affection, and he’ll be looking at you like you hung the moon (and possibly filled his bowl). Tomales is chill, sweet, and has patience that rivals monks and DMV employees. Compatible with other dogs and quietly hilarious once he feels at home, Tomales is proof that the best things in life come in compact, slightly skeptical packages.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Tomales is a sweet guy, he loves walks and loves snuggling even more. He would love to be with someone who likes to relax and who he can snooze next to. I haven’t heard him bark yet, he’s pretty quiet. He loves being pet and being in your lap.
He doesn’t have any issues being left alone, we have left him downstairs while I work just for short periods at a time to see if I can hear him and he just tucks himself in and doesn’t cry. He is very food motivated, loves treats and gets excited for meal time, and loves to hang out while I am making food.
He generally avoids the cats we have, and might be best in a home without them- but as long as you have cats that leave the dogs alone, it would be fine. He doesn’t do steep stairs well, he can do small short bursts of stairs, but he’s so light that you can carry him if that is a thing in your home.
