Toby, a spunky Shih Tzu with a wiggle in his walk, is a lovable chap with natural life-coaching abilities. With no formal training, this smiling floofball is a skilled listener whose gentle reassurance works wonders on shyness, malaise and low self-esteem. He’s a friend to dogs and humans, expertly sensing a need for affection or moral support and suppling both with ease. He likes a lap and a snoogle, and can also settle happily for a solo sun bath or a nap on the couch. In the market for an accidental therapy dog with a stylish pompadour and a cuddle habit? Toby is your fella.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Toby is a sweet little guy, who is a bit quirky and makes me laugh. With very soft fur and a gentle personality, he will be a great companion and snuggle buddy. His favorite thing is to nap nearby and he sleeps throughout the night.
Toby does his business outside and enjoys walks. He is not particularly interested in other dogs, but does just fine with my resident dog. He is okay when left alone, but would prefer to go with you and does great on car rides. He thinks stairs are a foreign concept, but enjoys your assistance in carrying this light-weight boy.
Currently Toby is a bit shy at first and would do best in a quiet home. My guess is he is adjusting to all the recent changes and will get more comfortable in his furever home.
He does not bark or really make any noise. I say he is quirky because he won’t eat unless I sit by him and he has a funny little hopping gait when he first gets up. This guy is likely to melt your heart.
