Here’s some notes from her foster:
Tilly is such a sweetheart. She seems to bond quickly and is very affectionate. She adores belly rubs and snuggling. When she’s looking for attention, she’ll curl up next to you and flop onto her back inviting you to give her a good scratch.
Tilly is house trained – zero accidents or chewing incidents in the almost week that we’ve had her – and loves meeting dogs and people on our neighborhood walks. She was initially suspicious of putting her harness on one leg at a time, but has since decided that rolling onto her back is the best approach to getting ready for a W-A-L-K.
Tilly does well on a leash. Tilly also likes her bed and doesn’t have an issue sleeping in it for daytime naps or overnight, though she is also very happy to sleep next to you. For how tiny she is, she has a touch of protector in her. If only one of us is home, she occasionally barks when she can hear people talking outside or entering the building. It doesn’t last long, but you can tell she’s doing her duty.
She didn’t seem to respond to many commands when she first arrived, but has seemingly mastered sit, up, and is working on stay/wait. Tilly has a hearty appetite and is food-motivated. She’s also an excellent traveler who is curious about what’s happening outside when in a car and what’s happening inside when on the bus.
