Tidbit got his name because he’s a huge gossip! He’s like that roommate who fills you in on Sally’s latest hookup, and how much weight Jose can lift. You’ll never be lonely with this guy around. His tail is constantly wagging, he gets along with other dogs, and he loves to meet the neighbors. Be careful though- when he looks at you with those eyes, you’ll want to tell him all your secrets.
Here’s a note from his foster:
Tidbit is a fine gentleman, a little guy with a big heart! When he wakes up in the morning, he greets his humans with kisses and a non-stop wagging tail. He gets very excited for his walks, and for his age he is in surprisingly good shape! He goes for two walks a day, each about 3-4 miles, and he doesn’t slow down or tire out during his walks. He is very polite when greeting other dogs on the walk and walks really well on the leash. He was eating wet food at the HQ, but I feed him kibble and he is just fine with that. He’s very gentle when eating his food, as he is with all other aspects of his life.
Tidbit was not used to the crate, and on the first day he was unhappy in it. But with a bit of positive reinforcement, he quickly grew to like it. Now, he goes into his crate at night and sleeps in there with the door open. When at home, he is either napping or wanting to be near his humans, ideally snoozing in their lap. But he is also very understanding if you need your space or if you don’t want him on the couch, and he obliges like a polite prince! Tidbit also really likes car rides. He will crawl into your lap and start snoring very quickly, which makes him a fine companion.
On funny and embarrassing notes, Tidbit likes to roll around on anything that’s soft: carpet, check! dog bed, check! all the soft sand on the beach, check! He’s also been very good with potty training. He had an accident on the first day when he arrived (which was partially my fault), but he’s been excellent since. Overall, Tidbit is a fantastic guy, who will be a fantastic addition to a crew looking for a loving companion.
