Okay it’s true, Thumbelina won’t be running any marathons. But this happy lady doesn’t need those runner highs! She is just as peppy and excited as any marathoner despite her wobbly gait. And luckily for Thumbelina, she is so tiny most people are willing to carry her anywhere she wants to go.
Here are some notes from her foster:
Thumbelina happens to be the perfect size for a lap dog and is so easy to scoop up and carry everywhere! She gives a very modest first impression of sweetness, but the real treat is how excited she is to see you when she gets to know you – she wags her tail so hard her hind legs sometimes swing too.
Thumbelina is pretty mellow and she is content trotting and lounging around the great indoors. From our experience so far, she will go potty outside and then immediately make a beeline to the front door because the house is warm and comes with a treat cabinet (we agree). However, she can be motivated to go around the block if the treats come with!
She has been great with being at home if we need to run a quick errand. She waits patiently and gives the warmest welcome upon return.
Thumbelina has been very calm and friendly around other dogs we’ve encountered around the neighborhood. She hasn’t seemed interested in playing with them (but maybe it’s because we’re not inside where the treats are). She also does great with our cats! She sees them and they peacefully coexist.
Have we mentioned Thumbelina and treats? She has a radar that tracks the faint rustle of a treat bag and cheese. She doesn’t seem to drink much water so wet food for meals would be great! She seems partial to chicken and rice meals.
Thumbelina cannot wait to give her special forever home all the snuggles and adoration!
