If you love wiener dogs but are concerned about constantly having to get items for them off the top shelf, try Theodore! While his handsome doxie face and adorable beagle ears are usually found on shorter fellows, Theodore has long, lanky limbs just perfect for prancing, hugging, and reaching. This very good boy is friendly with dogs, cats, kids, and even chickens! What more could you ask for?
Some notes from his foster:
Theodore is a dream boat! I’ve only had him home briefly, but he’s the most gentle, curious old man!
He’s pretty agile for his age-he can climb stairs and hop up and down from the bed, chair, and sofa without much effort. Just look and hop!-he’s up.
He loves other dogs! This guy would thrive with a pack of canine brothers and sisters. When I came to take him home, he wanted to return to the community room to be with his friends. His tail swings so quickly when mingling with other dogs. He’s so gentle with everyone and everything except… food!
Theodore is food-motivated. He loves his meals and treats. And he loves jumping up beside the counter to see if either of these are within reach. (This is only occasionally, as he’s getting to know my house.)
After exploring the house a bit, Theodore went to the dog bed and curled up for a snooze.
Theodore seems to be potty-trained. No accidents! I noticed he pees frequently but no more than your average senior, so trips outside or access to a backyard would be great for him.
Theodore is quite spry and curious for his age and is just a silky-soft love bug ready to take it easy and assist with the dinner preparations when asked!
