Tawny, a tiny chi-weenie, is not so much a cute dog as a creature of rare beauty. Her soaring ears are elegant, her eyes are milky white. She would look at home in the lap of a Downton Abbey duchess. Though she is blind and a little shy at first, Tawny is quick to lean into kindness from other dogs and people. She’s ready to settle in and thrive in a loving home. Is it yours?
Here’s some notes from her foster:
Tawny is a tiny bundle of joy! She is such a happy dog. She loves people, adults and kids alike. She enjoys being held, carried, and snuggled. She is a quiet girl who rarely barks. She loves to play outside as well as go on walks. She does great on her leash. She is friendly to other dogs but doesn’t seem super interested in them. She seems to be potty trained.
She is a good eater. She does well in the car. Although she is vision impaired, that doesn’t slow her down. She is quite the explorer! She has learned to navigate our house very quickly. She can find her food and water bowls, her people, and can even go down the back step without a problem. She comes when you call her and is always excited to hear your voice.
She sleeps through the night but prefers to sleep without her harness and close to her people. She is a very easy dog and has the cutest and wiggliest and tiniest tail I think I’ve ever seen. She would make a great addition to any family. I think she would do best with people who can be with her a lot of the time. She does fine being left alone, but just loves being around people as much as possible.
