Tannenberg, a spotted chi mix with a very appealing brand of understated confidence, is celebrating life these days. Rescued from dire circumstances by a keen-eyed dog lover, he is now firm on his feet and strutting around Muttville in a wee cloud of elation, enjoying each dog, person, couch, meal, and tum rub with real gusto. Short of leg and adorably energetic, he has a strong puppy vibe, yet his fine manners and thoughtful restraint hint at greater maturity. He’s a veritable sweet spot of a dog, ready for love and shenanigans. Offer large helpings of both and expect loads of affectionate gratitude in return.

Tanny is a dream house guest! House broken, hasn’t made a peep, and loves to be picked up and held like a baby. He’s great with my dogs – leaves them alone, and knows to stay away when they’re each eating! He’s very, very food motivated which is good, so i think his future adopter can coax him out of his shell that way. He seems indifferent to walks – will go if you force him, and just as happy finding a cozy spot to sleep.
he is a scared boy, and needs a little time to decompress. i have no doubt that he’ll thrive in a quiet, patient home that lets him come into his own!
