Meet Sweet Potato, a friendly Texas pooch ready to shower a new forever friend with love!
Sweet Potato comes to Muttville from Texas, part of a group of dogs that we took in to help make room for displaced animals affected by Hurricane Harvey. This gentleman is ready to spend his retirement years in a mellow home with someone to take him on leisurely strolls in the sunshine. He loves people and is ready to find a family that will give him plenty of belly rubs as he naps on the couch. Mosey on down to Muttville and meet this “Sweet Potato”!
Sweet Potato is 12 years young and weighs 54 pounds!

Sweet Potato is such an amazing guy! Sweet Potato started off shy but flash forward to today & he is such an amazing sweetheart. His favorite thing to do is fall asleep on your feet while you’re on the couch! He does fantastic on walks & will consistently stay right by your left side & waits for all your commands. Sweet Potato is a very low energy, low maintenance dog. His days consist of mostly naps & daydreaming. Such an easy guy. His house-training is great and he is great with other dogs! He has been fantastic with those I have seen him interact with so far. He is such a sweetheart.
