If you like a list of Pros and Cons for important decisions, be warned: Sven is an all-Pro guy. This very handsome black Lab with five white toes is sweet, potty-trained, and inordinately charming. He gets along with cats, dogs, and humans of all ages (i.e., kids!). He’s down for walkies (including stairs), lounging, and staring dreamily into your eyes while you give him light scritches behind the ears. Also, goofy when appropriate. If he has a weakness, it’s his love of being with other dogs. Hardly a drawback, if you think about it. In fact, you could adopt him as a way to meet other dogs.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Sven is the ultimate good boy! Very well behaved and just the sweetest pup ever!! He’s done really well at our house and exceptionally well behaved! He’s gentle with our three girls but also very playful! When picking the girls up from school, his butt wag is off the charts and greets them with lots of kisses. He’s definitely a big boy and has a lot of energy so we’ve been taking him on lots of walks and notices he’s also great with all dogs and greets all lots big and small! He’s a powerful boy and can tug on the leash for a brief second but then will relax and he doesn’t pull on the leash much. At home, he’s learned to relax and he’s usually very calm and doesn’t bark but on the rare occasion, he does get excited about the raccoons or cats that pass our yard at night. He’s house trained and will let you know if he needs to go outside by waiting by our backyard door. We think he would do well with a family with kids and a yard. He’s such a special boy that deserves the best!!
