Sven is a spunky Jack Russell Terrier who loves nothing more than running and playing with his favorite humans and dog companions. With his short legs and boundless energy, Sven is always on the move, ready for the next adventure. Sven is a social butterfly and gets along with just about everyone, both human and dog alike. He is always eager to make new friends and loves to play with other dogs of all sizes and breeds. Whether it’s a game of fetch or a romp in the park, Sven is always up for a good time. He is a joy to be around and brings happiness and laughter wherever he goes.
Sven is a cute, energetic, and lovable pup who is always ready for some adventure and fun. With glee and excitement, for life and play, Sven, the Jack Russel Terrier, brightens up your day.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Sven is a very easy-going little man, completely unfussy. If you want a needy dog that’s always in your face seeking your attention, Sven doesn’t fit that bill. However, this is not to say that Sven isn’t happy to be with you or is incapable of showing affection. Sven cuddles up to me in bed and gives kisses when asked. Sven walks up to strangers at the dog park, sits very politely and patiently next to them, and is grateful for the pets they give him. It’s clear that he likes people and other dogs and wants to interact with them.
Sven definitely loves his creature comforts. He loves jumping onto my bed and wrapping himself in my blankets like a burrito. If you can’t find him, he’s probably on your bed or on your couch, wrapped up in something, head to toe. All you’ll see is an unmoving lump. He’d stay wrapped up all day and all night if you let him.
Sven must have a cast-iron stomach. I made DIY dog food for Sven and my three dogs, and he was the only one who didn’t have diarrhea that night. Sven is a good eater but doesn’t seem to be a chowhound. I don’t worry about him eating garbage off the ground or gnawing on items around my home. But I wouldn’t want to leave him for longer than four hours without a bathroom break.
With Sven it’s just a matter of gaining some confidence in his surroundings. Fortunately, his apprehensiveness does not make him preemptively aggressive. He may be a little scared, but he doesn’t lash out at people or other dogs (or cats) because of it. He’s still friendly and social, just not sure of our intentions. Given a little bit of time and a lot of love, I think he’d make a loving and trusting and obedient dog for the right person.
