Is you any good at hiding treats if Sam already knows where they are? Sutro Sam may be blind, but his nose is doing all the heavy lifting and doing it extremely well. Honestly, he is kind of the opposite of Voldemort. No eyes, excellent nose, and easily one of the nicest souls you will ever meet. He moves through the world with this calm, steady confidence that makes everything feel a bit more relaxed. He is incredibly sweet and takes treats so gently…Every sniff feels intentional, like he is solving a tiny mystery and winning every time. Being around Sam just feels easy, warm, and quietly impressive.

With his party days behind him, Sutro Sam is content snuggling up in his favorite doggie bed and blanket to lounge and nap most of the day. He’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a quiet and gentle soul who demands little and doesn’t need long walks or rigorous exercise – although he does enjoy short strolls to do his business!
He likes to be near his humans but not in a clingy or interactive way and doesn’t seem bothered when he’s left alone. Despite being blind and mostly deaf, he gets around well once he’s gotten the lay of the land, although he doesn’t seem to do stairs. He sleeps peacefully through the night, is potty trained, and rarely barks – a true gentleman. :-)"
