Need a pick me up? One with soft fuzzy fur and a slightly smushed adorable face? Sunny will make every day bright! She recently lost a leg, but it doesn’t bring her down one bit; she hops around exploring and looking for affection. Sunny is the world’s biggest fan of belly rubs (her belly is oh so soft) and snacks. She’ll soon be your biggest fan!

Here’s a note from her foster!

This precious girl recently had her front leg amputated, and each day she is getting stronger and stronger! She moves around the apartment like a champ and loves to lay on anything soft. Her favorite thing in the entire world is BELLY RUBS! She rolls over on her back any chance she can get for some good rubs. Oh, and I can’t forget her love of food! She knows when it’s feeding time, and takes her medications with cheese without an issue (I’m not even sure she chews it!).

Sunny needs to be carried up and down the stairs, but once you get her down on the grass she loves smelling all the smells and is fully potty trained. We bought a dog-carrying sling so she could still go with us on walks with our resident dog and she absolutely loves it.

Sunny also doesn’t mind the company of other dogs. She is not playful with dogs, and definitely lets them know she is not to be messed with, but may be ok with the right dog that is willing to give her some space. She happily co-exists with our 60lbs dog, but would also be happy as an only dog. She is sweet with everyone she has met but can be sensitive around her amputation site, so she would probably do best with older children and a quiet household.

All in all, this girl has been an absolute joy to foster and we are honored to have helped her along her recovery and into a forever home!
