Stiletto is doing great! She checks in with me a lot and despite being hearing-impaired, Stiletto quickly learned some hand signals, like “attention”, “come” and “food”, so she’s a smart little lady! She’s is able to use a potty pad with very few accidents. When I’m away from the house, the only reason she barks is when she needs to use the bathroom.
She’s a very good girl at home and hasn’t been getting into anything she shouldn’t nor has she ever been destructive. This lady might be food obsessed and will try and see if anyone left a plate on the coffee table that she can sample.
Her favorite thing is outside adventures and walks are a sniffing paradise; she walks very well on leash and seem more confident in general as soon as the harness is put on and we’re about to go for a walk. She enjoys saying hi to people when we’re out and about, as well as wanting to say hi to any dog she sees – this is when I’ve seen her tail wag the most, so she’d very likely really enjoy having a dog companion at home too.
In the beginning, she seemed a bit unsure at bedtime, and did a fair amount of pacing and would mostly sleep in her own bed, but as we’ve gotten to know each other better, she’s more frequently been enjoying a night snuggled up against me with her head and front paws nestled on my arm. She’s a very sweet and fairly independent lady who is not super clingy but does shows her comfort with being close to me, and she will do a bit of play-bows and zoomies at times to show she’s still a kid at heart.
All in all, to know Stiletto is to love her!
