Trotting into your heart full of sugar and sass, this little Chi is a pocket full of sunshine. He is a young lad of 7 years. Wise and outgoing Steve always has a smile on his face and a wag that follows. He loves writing music! He will sing you sweet melodies before bed and woo you with his mastery of the banjo. Not a fan of the banjo? Well, he can also play a mean mandolin! How can you go wrong with on demand music and never-ending doggy kisses? Steve Earl is such a silly, sweet and peppy guy. He has really just settled in well in the few days we have had him. Steve has had no accidents with us and seems to be potty trained. Way to go Steve!!!!
Steve loves to trot around the neighborhood and is able to take pretty long walks. He is pretty good on the leash and doesn’t pull too much. He is ok being left alone. He only seems to bark with the city and apartment noises. He will quickly settle down. When you get home he is sooo excited to see you. He will roll around on the ground around you and offer his belly for pets. He also knows kisses!
If Steve really wants pets, he will just put his head in your hand. He wants nothing more than to be included, he is sooo social. I wouldn’t say he is a lap dog, he can sit with you on the couch but will also be relaxing in his bed. I haven’t had any trouble putting his harness on or off.
He would prefer to sleep with his human on the end of the bed, he did not like being in a soft crate/playpen to sleep, even on the first night and demanded to be in the bed with us. He also is ok in the car. He does want to sit in your lap, I have been using a car seat tether that I can connect his harness to for safety and he will settle down after a few minutes.
