HERE’S WHAT HIS FOSTER HAS TO SAY!
Steve is a truly unique character! He may be blind, but that has not tamed his wandering soul. He usually spends the day just snoozing on a soft, comfy bed (complete with snoring!), but every so often he gets the urge to wander around the house and get a feel for his surroundings.
Steve isn’t into too much physical activity that we’ve noticed, but we do take him out for short walks to get some air. He would probably enjoy being in a large backyard or park where he can wander around at will. He would also benefit from a home with no stairs, as that can be dangerous for this visually-impaired mutt. I think he also gets frustrated sometimes when he manages to wander over to a tight spot and can’t find his way out, so someone who will be patient with him and be willing to guide him out when he gets into such spots would be beneficial.
This sweet guy has so much love to give, and has a truly endearing way of twitching his head around when he’s trying to listen for where you are. And sometimes when he just can’t figure it out, he’ll simply sit down where he is and wait for you to come get him (and hopefully you come with belly rubs to spare!). Steve may be blind, but he certainly has a personality! And he definitely does not let his visual impairment dampen his tail wags when he knows you’re nearby and he’s about to get some belly rubs.
