Starry Night is just the cutest chihuahua, with fur the color of a chocolate and vanilla soft serve and a sweetness to match. This spunky senior is a girls’ girl, preferring to spend her time with other female doggos (for Starry Night, it’s ladies’ night, every night). Our Starry gal is an easygoing mutt, often rolling over and requesting belly rubs, and you know there’s no greater honor than a dog offering you belly rubs! Starry Night is a fan of taking a brief jaunt to stretch her legs and smell the great outdoors (please note her idea of the great outdoors is a much smaller scale than a human’s, your backyard will do nicely). We have been fostering Starry for a week now. Our household is 2 adults, 1 teen, 2 cats and a Muttville alum.
Starry was definitely overwhelmed at headquarters. It was very busy with our Home for the Holidays rescue push and she just wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle.
Once we got home, she started to blossom immediately. Starry has a great appetite, is house-trained (she waits to go outside, but does not use pee pads) and LOVES to walk. She doesn’t need to get rid of pent up energy, but if you want to take her for longer walks, she is eager and willing.
She is the most enthusiastic welcoming committee, dancing when any of us come home. She loves to smother her people in kisses. She loves to sleep under the covers at night.
She is very quiet – the only sounds we have heard her make are when the cat surprises (and sadly scares) her. She is fine with the cats, but one of mine has definitely been mischievous and likes to surprise her – which makes her shriek. We have not noticed any issues being left home alone. Our other dog is a 13 year old chihuahua mix. After initial sniffs, they mostly ignore each other.
