IT’S SQUIRREL!!!!
Squirrel is quite possibly the cutest most unique looking little mutt we have ever seen. She has a constant furrowed brow, flopped-over ears, and eyes that are super close together that she looks like a cartoon character! She is not worried though – she is a happy and peppy little gal. Squirrel does great with people and other dogs.
She can be a tiny bit shy at first but warms up super fast. We think she would prefer a mostly adult home, but older patient children would be okay. She truly is such a gem and has quickly become a staff favorite.
HERE’S WHAT HER FOSTER HAS TO SAY!
“Squirrel is a demure little lady who will need time to warm up in a new environment. She’s been with us a few days and is starting to warm up to us. We think she may have been through some rough times and she’ll need some time to get used to a new environment.
She does love belly rubs and wags her tail when we talk to her! She snoozes quite a bit during the day in her dog bed and is fine lounging most of the day. We take her on short walks for now and that’s really all the exercise she needs.
She seems to be house trained (no accidents so far!) but we do take her out frequently.
She does like our other dog and she’ll probably do well in a home with another mellow dog who can help her build her confidence. Squirrel is a sweet little girl who will need someone to be patient with her and allow her to blossom in her own time and way."
