This adorable boy comes to us all the way from Stanislaus County. He may be a newbie, but is already a staff and volunteer favorite. His adorable big smile and sweet personality make him easy to fall in love with. He’s also great with dogs of all sizes and curious about new places. Come make Sprite your newest family member soon!
Sprite’s fosters have this to say about him:
“Sweet spunky Sprite, with your funny eyes, big paws, muppet fur and wonky walk, what an incredibly cute little love bug. He’s very curious, exploring every nook in out apartment. He’s gotten along great with out 2 dogs, mostly keeping to himself and sleeping when he’s not sniffing and rubbing on everything (I hear his skin is itchy from neglect but he’s feeling much better after his makeover). He’s totally potty trained, the first foster we’ve ever had that didn’t immediately mark in the apartment.
Takes his meds extremely easy in pill pockets, loves chicken and rice but ok with normal wet food as well. He has trouble on stairs but is very light and easy to carry. He slips on our wood floors, carpet would be more ideal but he’s doing fine despite some trouble with his back legs. He prefers short walks, have had to carry him a little when he’s gone on longer walks with my other 2 dogs. He was fine with our cats until one started antagonizing him, now he chases and barks at them relentlessly, I’d say a home without felines would be best. Loves laps, naps, chin scratches and giving kisses, really a great little guy."
Sprite is 12 years young, weighing 12 pounds.
