Spooner is a teddy bear come to life!

He lived most of his life at FAO Schwartz but when they closed their doors, he was unfortunately left to wander the streets of New York with a giant giraffe and a 500-piece puzzle. He has had many life adventures, including hitchhiking across New Jersey, winning a bagel eating contest in Harlem, and skateboarding in Central Park. He happily made his way to California for some sunshine and some love. Spooner wants to be your friend for life.

Here’s what Spooner’s foster has to say about him:

Spooner is irresistible & the talk of the town! He has the bounciest walk & gets all the attention when we’re out. Look at him! He’s quite the looker & just .so. darn. ca-yute! He is a resilient & strong little doggo. He is tiny but mighty & will show you so! Spooner is independent & wants to do things on his own, even though he needs some help because of his short stature. He loooves walks. And this little guy can keep up! He’ll tell you when he doesn’t like something with his body language. You don’t go to Spooner. Spooner comes to you. He’s quick to trust though & I’m already seeing him blossom. After 3 days, he’s already coming up for pets & cuddles. I think he’s playful! He’s a quiet doggo & has not barked inside or when left alone. He will whine & groan in frustration, but eventually settles (even his little groans are cute!). He’s the perfect apartment dog. Spooner will make someone very happy as they unravel his different layers & feistiness! He does take some time to warm up however, I’ve been very impressed by how quickly he adjusts & adapts to his surroundings. Though he may do better in an all-adult home. What a resilient boy who is waiting for his furever human(s) to give him his best life.

Spooner is estimated to be 11 years young and 10 lbs.

Watch Spooner having so much fun with his foster family!
