Meet Spex, the spunky and energetic Terrier mix. Spex is a four-legged ball of energy, always ready to play and have a good time. He’s a true social butterfly, and loves nothing more than making new friends, both human and canine alike. Spex’s boundless energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and it’s impossible not to smile when you’re around him. Whether he’s chasing after a ball or running around the dog park with his buddies, Spex is always in his element.
He is also a well-behaved and is always eager to please his humans. So if you’re looking for a four-legged mate, Spex is the dog you shouldn’t hesitate.
With his friendly nature and energetic vibe, he’ll make your days so much more alive!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Spex is fully potty trained, sleeps through the night in his crate. He’s generally pretty calm so far, and will sleep if you are working or curl up next to you on the couch. Spex really enjoys his long walks! I take him out probably 4 times a day for potty breaks and that works well.
He hardly barks – only when he really wants to play, when his dinner is too slow, or when other dogs invade his space) He does sit and stay pretty well, but doesn’t have great recall, so have kept him on a leash at the park for now. I haven’t left him home alone yet, but he seems like he’d be fine, would just curl up and sleep.
I’ve had a chance to test him with kids and other dogs and he does great. Part of his play is barking to get attention, both at other dogs or me when he’s bored.
He is a bit picky about his food, but loves snacks, and will do anything for a treat. He likes to play with his ball and loves toys he can chew on (but he doesn’t chew anything he’s not supposed to which is great).
As a first time dog foster for me, he has been super easy to care for. Really sweet dog.
