Sweet senior Spencer is a marvelous Maltipoo with a huge doggy grin and a desire to create THE most comfy blanket fort ever. You’ll often spot him burrowing in various beds and laps, selecting carefully among blankets (what criteria is he using? Thread count? Color? Softness?), which is even more impressive when you consider that this little cutie is blind. Spencer is a living embodiment that a disability doesn’t have to slow you down, but he is hoping to quickly find his forever home. Although he can’t see his surroundings, Spencer can see the future where he’s doted on during his golden years in a very cozy home – could it be yours?
Here are some notes from his foster:
Spend 5 minutes with Spencer and you might even forget that he has a visual impairment, because he spends his day hopping onto the couch for a nap or running down the hall to find you. He loves nothing more than to sit with you while you work or relax. If you leave, he may be a bit sad so he prefers that you take him with you.
He’s got a great appetite (can totally eat with other dogs nearby) and is mastering the art of doing business in the yard. He’s a bit timid on walks, but with some guidance, he’s gaining more and more confidence every day. Speaking of confidence… he loves a party! He’s such a great host, greeting every single guest at our holiday party.
After hosting, of course he had a nice big nap! His ideal place to sleep is in a big human bed. He loves a car nap or a couch nap with other dogs. Spencer is such a cute little cuddle bug!!
