Sweet boy Sonny comes to us from a shelter where we think he may have organized a fantasy football league. How else could a guy with so few obvious responsibilities be so busy? Age seems not to have dampened his pep, spunk and bounce, often on display as he meets and greets new dogs and people. He knows how to relax, and will brake for love and affection, lifting his big brown eyes for a quick Vulcan mind meld. Note: He appears to be covered in cashmere. He is such a funny little doofus! It doesn’t matter what it is as long as it’s fluffy and comfortable, he will make his way to it, on it, in it… anyway possible and then make it his bed! He gets into some of the most strangest spots in the most adorable way possible. There is no doubt that he will always keep you entertained!!!
He loves to be around people and other dogs, he has some minor things to work on, where if you leave the room and he can’t find you, he will sit on top of the couch and make a little howl. When we leave the house he might struggle at first, but usually I come back and find him in one of the many sleeping areas he’s decided to take over!
He does a great job going outside when you take him out. However, he is having some early morning accidents. We take both the dogs out on roughly a 1 mile walk before bed and they do all of their business so I’m not sure what’s going on, but we are working on it!
He is great at going up and down stairs! Once in awhile he won’t make it all the way so I just pick him up. He loves to be outside on walks and does great on leash, and would do perfect with a young or older walker.
Not interested in toys, begging for food, attention, resource guarding. Last night I let him sleep in the bed with me and he is the perfect little cuddler who doesn’t move. He’s such a sweetheart. He finally let me allow him to give him some belly rubs and I also got my first little kisses from him!!
One side note, for a cute old man he might have Grandpa ears… Or he speaks another language I don’t know ha! But I think he might be hard of hearing. He doesn’t do a lot of audible things when I make sounds or noises or call but visual he will come over to me and give me attention.
He is such a sweet little gentleman and he’s going to be a full ball of life and enjoyment!!! Overall 13/10 great boy!
