Solterra, a shiny pittie of bone-deep sweetness, is an adorable collage of DNA goodness. Her short legs are the apex of cuteness; her soaring ears are good for a giggle. Her hearing isn’t the greatest, but her love of a treat ensures avid attention and obedience. She’s also a lovebug with humans and a friend to other dogs. Honestly? Her huge smile and velvet jowls alone deliver a moment of bliss you don’t want to miss. If you’ve got the TLC and treats, she’s got the heart and soul for a love match. Meet her today!
Here’s some notes from her foster:
She is such a sweetheart! She loves cuddles and is very curious about everything we do, sleeping next to us on the couch and following us around the house. Very friendly with other dogs and people. She has not been shy, anxious or reactive at all. She greets strangers enthusiastically when they come into the house and hasn’t barked a warning or greeting (yet).
She loves to soak in the sun in our backyard and is very comfortable on her own (inside and outside) for several hours. I would not hesitate to have someone else walk her or care for her when you are out of the house.
She loves walks and is still very mobile: she goes up and down the two flights of stairs to our home and romps around our back hill comfortably. She usually has one long walk mid-morning and may have a shorter walk in the late afternoon. She will let you know if she is not up for a second walk by turning around after she has gone to the bathroom. If you throw a toy, she may retrieve it a few times, but doesn’t have an extended play time. We have not had her off leash at a dog park, but we don’t anticipate any issues.
Solterra is a lady of leisure and will sleep in until you wake her. When she wakes up, she eats before going potty, so she’ll gobble down her breakfast (and any medications) before heading out our back door.
She eats again in the late afternoon and we give her some kibble as treats during the day. She is very curious about any food we eat; she will get in our faces if we eat in the living room, but stays on the floor while we are eating at the table.
She is a lovely, lovely dog and a real gem.
