Soccer is known across the globe for his agility, hand-eye coordination, and passion to succeed. Obviously he’s got great spacial awareness and can quickly decide his next move based on placement of treats. Soccer loves people from all teams, but he’s got a special fondness for Cape Verde right now so keep that in mind when you meet him. Soccer knows all eyes are on him, yet he only has eyes for you.

Meet Soccer, a charming 7-year-old Chihuahua mix who is ready to score a permanent goal right into your heart! This incredibly affectionate, one-of-a-kind pup is famous for his adorable speckled tongue and his world-class cuddling skills. Soccer is a complete cuddle bug who lives for kisses and snuggling up as close to you as physically possible—especially in bed.
Don’t let his age fool you; he is young at heart, highly mobile, and easily navigates stairs, jumps onto the sofa, and loves going for long, adventurous walks. He is also a total comedian who will brighten your days with his silly, occasional bursts of the zoomies.
Soccer is incredibly personable with humans and is a smart, quick learner. While he initially showed some guarding behavior with our resident dog, he responded beautifully to structure and training, and hasn’t shown it at all after just a week of transitioning. On walks, he can get a bit vocal when seeing other dogs, but he is easily managed by redirecting his attention with tasty treats or stepping behind a barrier to block his line of sight.
Soccer does experience some sadness when his humans leave, but given how quickly he learns, he will thrive with a patient adopter ready to practice a consistent routine. He is an absolute joy to foster and will make the ultimate loyal sidekick for a family ready to continue his positive training.
