Snuggle is a sweet, sensitive girl who came to Muttville after she was surrendered to Oakland Animal Services after they could no longer care for her. She is look for an understanding hospice home to help her live her best new life. Snuggle is guesstimated to be 13yrs young and weighs 12lbs.HERE’S WHAT HER FOSTER HAS TO SAY!Snuggle is so brave! She clearly hasn’t been exposed to much – not grass, and it seemed like she’d never even spent time outside. At first she’d quake with terror at the big open space of an empty San Francisco street. A day or two later, she was strolling along letting the breeze tickle her cute little ears. She had no idea how to approach stairs – and soon she was clambering up and negotiating her way down. She is super easy to handle – no problem carrying her or putting on her harness or even giving her a bath. She loves her food and she loves her naps. She is not clamoring for affection but after she decides she likes you she’ll follow you around and lie down at your feet. She is happy to go on walks, even long walks, as long as they’re slow. She is fine with other dogs – pretty much ignores them. When she arrived, she was almost completely hairless from the neck down. Her skin was a mess from infection. Now, her fur is starting to grow out and she’s going to have a lovely coat. When she arrived, she was completely clueless about house training. It didn’t take very long for her to figure out how to use pee pads; now she’s learning that it’s okay, even preferable, to do her business outside. She will make noise when it’s time to poop – but she is still learning. She can get persistent with whining when she wants something, like food. In the beginning, she didn’t know what she wanted – she was terrified – and she would cry and whine for long periods of time. Now she’s mostly quiet and will retreat to her bed if the activity in the house gets too busy. She won’t make a fuss when I leave, and she will only bark once or twice when the doorbell rings. She has changed SO MUCH in the two weeks I’ve had her. She is adorable, charming, and super easy-going. I am certain she will keep getting better and better and be a wonderful little friend.
