Have you ever wished to wake up to snow on New Years day? Well now you can! Only this Snow will never cause frostbite or make you face plant in front of your friends! Snow is a warm and cuddly miniature poodle who is in love with life. He is easily excitable, loves to play fetch, and adores kids! Just a ten years young mutt who’s got his tail wag down to a science and a puppy face that will constantly melt your heart. It’s time to take off those snow boots and throw on your sneakers and run on down to adopt Snow!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
First of all he is the best guy ever – he is just genuinely a smart, well-trained good dog with younger than 10-year-old energy and the ability to leap onto regular-sized couches in a single bound.He is a super happy guy and always ready to go outside. He dutifully pees and poops. It’s clear that he knows where to do his business.
He knows the commands STAY or WAIT, LAY DOWN, GO TO BED. He knows when I ask him, "Are you a good dog or a bad dog? he’d prefer to be a good dog so does what he’s told.
He loves dog food but couldn’t care less about a kong or play-toy. He’d like me to feed him more (he would genuinely feast on dog food any time day or night) but we keep him to 1/4 cup 3 times a day.
He’ll try to push for more but will give up and settle quickly. In general he’s very well-behaved in the house.
He is crazy about and craves playtime with other dogs. We haven’t taken him to a dog park (following rules !) but we have small dogs on the corner and he gets so excited and happy when he sees them. He is just dying to play.
He sleeps on the floor in our bedroom on a dog bead. He wants to get up on occasion and we’ll bed-snuggle with him in the daytime,
He’s smart and he will and can push the boundaries, but easily returns to rules with gentle direction.
He’s a lap dog – definitely wants to be near you on the couch, in your lap, or or in a bed at your feet. You can call the shots – this adorable dude is easily correctable.
He likes to play with a small squeaker ball. Squeak it, roll it, try to get it back from him lol.
He can see, hear, move, romp, play, dance on his tip-toes, take ten steep stairs up and down like a dream (we couldn’t stop him!), and loves a walk around the block (or more) twice-three times a day. Perfect for a family with gentle older children. He’s a little guy who doesn’t want to get hurt. But also a brave, robust adventure-guy. Loves his people, loves car rides, loves love!
Needs to be on leash, though, because once in the outdoor heaven of great sniffs, etc., he loses his mind a little. Very focused on sniff sniff sniff and is in a zone!
