Calling all Pug-lovers! You’ve got to come meet our newest sweetheart Smudge!
This adorable and happy-go-lucky guy comes to us from Solano County. Sadly, his loving owner passed away and so Smudge found himself at the shelter, alone and confused. When we heard his story we knew we wanted to rescue him and help him find his forever home! Smudge has a really fun and spunky personality. Like most Pugs, he’s a riot! He loves people and other dogs, and is even said to be good with cats. Smudge is definitely outgoing and social. He’d love to join you on all your adventures and we know you’ll fall in love the moment you meet him!
Smudge is 8 years young, weighing 22 pounds.

Smudge is the sweetest! He’s a mellow fellow who enjoys time with his people whether that be napping next to you on the couch or a healthy paced walk. He has wonderful manners, doesn’t bark & affectionately paws your hand when he’d like to be pet. His activity level is just right, he keeps up a good pace on walks, doesn’t get too easily tired or winded but when at home he likes to relax. Smudge is good with other dogs, interested but not too concerned. He’s great with cats, could not care less about their presence. Smudge really likes people. His house-training is absolutely perfect. No retraining or pee pads needed. He loves napping wherever his designated human is & has an adorable pug snore.
