Ahoy matey! Your Skipper is aboard and ready to set sail. Next stop: forever home! This freckle nosed cutie is friendly, sweet and seaworthy. When he’s ashore, he enjoys making new friends, exploring and climbing up on desks to supervise the work of his human companions. We’ve never had such a darling supervisor!

Here’s a note from his foster!

Skipper is a very sweet, mellow and a cute dog. His face is very sweet and he kind of looks like a puppy though he is 12 !

He has good energy and walks well on leash and does his business outdoors like a good boy. He is house trained BUT will need a little time to get used to the environment, he did have one accident upon arrival. He’s fine with other dogs, basically he is either neutral or slightly interested but quickly moves on.

Skipper’s appetite is good and eats his food easily and he takes his meds like a champ, hidden in food. He rides well in the car in his dog seat/carrier. He does’t love being by himself so he’ll need a family that is patient while he gains confidence during alone time.

He sleeps on top of my bed on a large blanket and really doesn’t move all night but when I awake he immediately needs to go out.

Like I said he’s very sweet and loves to be scratched on his legs, back and especially under his chin and behind his ears. He’s not big on kisses but I think that might change once he’s settled in his forever home.

Skipper stays on the coach when I’m working at home and stays on a chair in my office when I’m there. He is very quiet and rarely barks. He walks up my flight of stairs (about 17 steps) easily but you can tell he has some arthritis. He never wines or growls when you pick him up to give him a lift.
