If you’d like to score the Doxie Jackpot then the hand you’re looking for is Two of a Kind!

Shrimp and Grits are a couple of road-weary wanderers who are ready to put up their paws and finally settle down. These boys hitch-hiked to us from Fresno, but we think they have a hint of that smooth Southern style about them. From their red velvet coats to that charming twinkle in their eyes, these boys are enough to make anyone swoon. Shrimp is the more mature of the pair, with a little salt ‘n pepper mixed into his handsome snoot. He is an energetic explorer and always eager to sniff out new adventures. But he never goes far without his sidekick and very best friend Grits. Don’t let his slightly smaller stature and pretty-boy good looks fool you, Grits is just as bold and courageous as his brother-in-paws. Always eager for walkies and just as eager to fall asleep in your arms, the only thing these foxy-doxies need is some good grub, your love, and each other. They are truly bonded and need to find a forever home that is excited to take both of them! If you think you might be the special person who can give this dashing duo the retirement they deserve, fill out an application today!

Shrimp is guesstimated to be 10yrs young and weighs 11 lbs.

Grits is a bit younger at 9yrs young but weighs a bit more at 13lbs.

Their foster says:

Shrimp and Grits are the most adorable dynamic duo! They are truly best friends, and love to spend every minute together. They are incredibly loving, and enjoy giving soft licks and lots of cuddles. Shrimp has a confidence in his strut and is the explorer of the group! Grits is so loving and gentle; he loves to watch out for his older brother.

The boys are extremely friendly to all people — we’ve had visitors come in and out of the house frequently, and the boys embrace everyone! They are definitely lower key, and while I think they’d make a great fit for everyone, they are definitely dogs who would thrive with someone who is looking for lower energy pups (Eg a senior adopter). They don’t bark at all when I’m with them; they do seem to bark a bit when I leave but it quickly quiets down.

They’re definitely house train and have had minimal accidents so long as they’re let out every couple of hours. They’ve been sleeping in the living room at night in their bed, and they sleep very well without any barking or interruptions.

They also are reasonably well leashed trains but are lower energy (especially little Shrimp).

Watch the brotherly LOVE!
