Oh Shoshanna! How are you so scruffilicious and sweet? Is it just your lovely soft and scruffy coat? Your sweet face and loving eyes? Your nice and gentle personality? It must be all of the above! This bonny lass is an easy keeper who gets along with other dogs and everyone she meets.

Here’s a note from her foster!

Shoshanna is such a sweetheart and I’m seeing progress on a daily basis with her!

She warmed up right away to love and affection from me. The first night she was laying next to me on the couch and kept pawing at my hand to keep petting her.

She is really quiet, no barking and is not verbally reactive at all to other dogs! I work from home so I’m here most of the time, but the few times I’ve stepped out of the room and closed the door, she has let me know she doesn’t love being by herself. She’ll need some time and patients learning how to be confident with her alone time. But overall, she is VERY quiet.

For walks. I live on a busy street, so the first 3 days were a bit difficult to take her out. She would completely freeze and stiffen up at any sound (cars) or movement around us (jogger, person walking by) so it was slow going to just get a block or two in. I took her down to Crissy Field beach over the weekend and she did so well. She walked along the beach beside me on-leash without stiffening up. Every walk gets better and better! She gets excited and wags her tail when I take out the leash.

We’re still working on her house training so her new family may need to be patient as she learns new routines and gets the hang of doing her business when she’s outside. I think once she’s generally more comfortable outside, she’ll do fine.
