Shay Shay is a sweet little heart wrapped in fur, the kind of girl who quietly wins you over without even trying. She has a gentle, easygoing nature and loves being near her people, soaking up affection and returning it in her own soft, loving way. Shay Shay seems to enjoy the company of other dogs and can be friendly with them, though she’s just as happy doing her own thing and taking the world at her own pace. She’s affectionate but not demanding, more of a calm presence who leans in for love when it’s offered. Whether she’s trotting beside you or settling in for a cozy moment nearby, Shay Shay brings a soothing, comforting energy wherever she goes. If you’re looking for a sweet companion with a kind spirit and a quietly charming personality, Shay Shay is ready to wiggle her way into your heart.
Here’s some notes from her foster:
Meet Shay Shay!
Shay Shay is a gentle, loving little lady with the sweetest soul. She can be a bit shy when meeting new people and may need a few days to settle in, but once she feels safe, her affectionate side really shines. Give her a little patience and you will be rewarded with soft kisses, cozy companionship, and a loyal shadow by your side.
She’s a quiet girl who loves pets and will happily lean in for more. Shay Shay enjoys being near her people, whether that means lounging at your feet or keeping you company around the house. She sleeps peacefully through the night in her dog bed, which is her safe and happy place.
Shay Shay would thrive in a calm, low-key home where she can truly relax and enjoy her retirement. Loud noises and fast movements can startle her, so a home without small children would be best. She’s still learning about leashes and harnesses, but she’s making progress and enjoys slow strolls and sniffing around the yard.
She loves food (a little too much!) and is currently on a gentle fitness journey. While she may turn her nose up at the “healthy” treats, her love for snacks makes her easy to win over.
She also enjoys the company of other mellow dogs and would do well with a calm canine companion.
In just a few days, Shay Shay has already started to come out of her shell, and it’s been so special to watch. With a little love and patience, she is going to make an incredibly devoted companion.
Shay Shay is ready for her second chance. Could it be with you?
