Everyone at Muttville has been so happy to welcome Serena Williams, a beautiful Shih Tzu -Poodle mix gal, ranked Number 1 in charm and sweetness! Early in her athletic career, our Serena dominated the field of frisbee, mastering such games as Fetch and Here Good Girl, winning 23 Grand Fetch Singles titles and 5 Best All-Around Doggy championships! At 8 years of age, Serena has left her frisbee and fetch days behind her. Now she’s more interested in being a lady of leisure. She’s not too proud to admit she’s a little addicted to Animal Planet and especially the Discovery channel, where she devotedly follows every Puppy Bowl game they broadcast. She also enjoys watching reruns of “Frazier” because, truth be told, she always had a little thing for Eddie. (didn’t we all?). Some of us at Muttville think her nickname should be “Sweet Angel”, due to the loving spirit that emanates from her. She loves people and other pups, hip scritches and cuddles. (Not necessarily in that order). Serena Williams is not a couch potato but neither is she going to be one for long walks. Some consistent, moderate exercise will suit her just fine. If you’re looking to add some gentle, loving beauty to your life, Serena may just be the ticket! Come to Muttville to meet her, have a chat, go on a little jaunt about the neighborhood. If you’re very nice, she may even share some gossip about the 2025 Puppy Bowl! We promise you, she’ll make your day!

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Serena Williams is a delight to foster and she has a super sweet personality.

We’ve had Serena for four days so far and she made herself comfortable right away. Serena is a very mellow pup and is happiest when she is hanging out with her people at home. She likes to position herself strategically in the room such that she can see everyone and everything that’s going on.

She loves to practice her yoga stretching moves (updog and downdog) when she stands up, and her tail becomes a propeller when she gets petted.

She really enjoys going for walks and loves to sniff all the bushes and flowers in the neighborhood. She likes to greet people we meet on walks and she will gladly offer herself for pettings.

Serena has done well (quiet and relaxed) while being left alone at home for short periods of time…about 30 minutes so far. She is good at climbing stairs and is well able to jump onto a comfy chair for a nap.

Serena is house trained and has very good bathroom habits.
