Selene

#5503
Yorkshire Terrier Mix
Female
Small (6-20 lbs)
Status: Adopted

Selene is a mellow Yorkie mix who is looking for her soulmate.

Selene comes to us from Stockton where she was found as a stray. She is so excited to be at Muttville, put her past behind her and find her new beginning! This little lady is super mellow but is still a peppy senior. Selene is a laid-back pup and would be a great dog for first-time owners. She is a sweet girl who loves the attention of people and gets along well with other dogs. Selene is looking for someone to cuddle with and shower with love during her retirement years.

We think Selene is around 12 years young and weighs about 7 pounds.

Check out what Selene’s foster has to say about this cutie:

Selene is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever encountered. She is very mellow & loves to just go with the flow. She doesn’t quite understand toys yet, but she loves having different bed options to get up & enjoy each one! I have never heard her bark & she loves to look at you with the sweetest eyes. One quirk that Selene has is that she loves to talk & growl at her food. She is NOT food aggressive in the slightest, but she will push her bowl around with her nose & growl at it before she eats. I haven’t quite figured out why, but just a heads up for future families for her so they are not alarmed. Selene is happy doing pretty much anything. I take her on a walk daily through Golden Gate Park & she loves to run as we start our walk. As she is getting stronger she is becoming more & more playful which is so sweet to see. She loves to stop & smell the roses & loves to take her time in the park. She also would be happy napping all day too. Selene is so polite with other dogs. She is wonderful with my dog, gives plenty of space & is very polite with her boundaries. In the park, other dogs came up to her & she has no problem meeting anyone & everyone. She is wonderful with cats, I took her to a friend’s house with 3 cats & she wasn’t bothered at all. Her house-training is amazing! She has had only 1 accident in the time I have fostered her & it was because I wasn’t paying attention. She will stand by the door when she needs to go outside & is really good about going right out into our yard & doing her business. She also loves to have different beds to walk to & sleep in. She also snores which is incredibly cute! Honestly, Selene is the world’s sweetest, mellow & loving dog & she deserves the best home! Also…she doesn’t shed! Woohoo!
