Seatbelt Sally is a precious girl made with love and fluff. She has the most adorable little nubbin that wags whenever you make eye contact, and she loves dogs and people. Sally’s eagerness to say hey to everyone is only rivaled by her eagerness for snacks.
She’s veryyyy happy to be eating so eats well and thoroughly. I’ve fed her some with a slow feeder and she’s done well with it. She’ll occasionally be able to avoid the pill in her food, but will take it with some peanut butter or cheese if she was clever enough to dodge it with her meal.
Overall well potty trained. I live in a place where she can’t go out on her own, and has been good at almost always going to the bathroom when I take her outside. She oddly doesn’t go pee or poo on walks at all, but will as soon as we get back to the yard. She’s gotten good at communicating if she needs to go- she’ll come up to me and stare and whine, then we’ll go outside and she’ll potty ASAP!Overall a very chill pup. She’s content napping most of the day – she snoozes on the bed while I work from home on the computer but follows me around the house when not. She does love walks and the dog park no doubt! She pulls out all her energy out there/when with other dogs, then will find a spot to chill at home.
She does great in the car – curls up into her seat pretty quickly and just lays down usually. Never has barked or anything though, even when standing.
She does great on walk- stays generally by you. Does pull toward other dogs sometimes, and definitely toward a bird, squirrel, etc.
With big dogs she does great – is interested in playing. With small dogs I think she sometimes intimidates them because she will follow very closely and have her nose in their face if not pulled away – she’s never nipped at them or anything though, but doesn’t seem to get the social cue if they growl at her. I haven’t had experience with her around cats though her profile has said that she’s not a good fit with cats, likely for the same reasoning as her interest in birds, squirrels, etc. I’ve only had her around a couple kids at the dog park – she’s very gentle, will approach them and get close but didn’t jump.
She likes treats, kong toys, puzzle toys, etc. I’ve only taught her “sit” but she’s fabulous at it and loves to do it and get rewarded haha. She always sits when I’m eating and definitely looks at me while I eat, but doesn’t try to steal my food.
