My name is Krystal, I am an RVT that works at the Lathrop Animal Center in Lathrop, California. We are a new city run shelter, we have only been open for about a year now.
I wanted to introduce to you Scar- he got his name from a horrible, imbedded collar incident and punctured wounds around his neck. Due to his injuries he had to be taken to the e-vet right away. Today, a year later is now a shelter favorite and we have no idea why he is still here! He is an 8-year-old neutered male who is UTD on all his vaccines and flea prevention. He plays well with smaller dogs, right now his buddy is Chance a 20lb NM. He LOVES attention and will even play fetch with you! He is madly in love with his plastic egg and had to take it around with him everywhere. He is currently one of our longest residents and we would all love for him to get out of the shelter to a warm cozy couch as he gets older and deserves.
