Precious pup Sandy is an easy-going girl who traveled all the way from Texas to find the best new beginning with a wonderful forever home!

Sandy comes to Muttville from Texas, part of a group of dogs that we took in to help make room for displaced animals affected by Hurricane Harvey. This friendly southern gal loves meeting new people and is good with other dogs. She is a sweet, mellow senior girl who deserves a loving and caring home in her retirement years. Sandy is partial to long naps, head scratches, and LOTS of love – both as the recipient and the giver of the LOVE. Do you think Sandy is your forever match?

Check out what Sandy’s foster has to say about this girl:

Sandy starts out a bit shy but is warming up with lots of head scratches & cuddles. Sandy isn’t the most active, but will follow us around the house & enjoys going on long walks. She loves other dogs – she’s calm & friendly. She usually ignores our cats, though occasionally she will try to play with them (which they are not so thrilled about!). She is good even when she gets an occasional swipe from our troublemaker, Aengus. Sandy is mostly house trained now. We walk her or let her out in the yard often to minimize accidents & she goes through the night without any mishaps regularly now. She loves the yard & at times it’s difficult to get her to come in. She will get playful & prance around, evading us & making it into a game.
