16 year old Sampson embodies the mysterious cool guy persona you may read in your favorite romance novel. This means he may need a little time to warm up to humans and furry friends before going all in with love. Easy on the eyes Sampson is looking for a cozy home to make his own where he can admire you from afar for a bit. This shy guy is up for short walks, but prefers sunbathing over a long hike. If you are looking for a terrier to take on the town with, Sampson is patiently waiting to win you over!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
I have been fostering Sampson for about 2 weeks now and here is what I have learned. It takes him a little bit to trust but he does get there. He’s more of an independent spirit as opposed to a cuddly lap dog. At the same time, he really likes to be by his human and will engage with you when he wants pets!! His favorite are chin scratches! Sampson does the cutest little tippy taps when he gets excited to see you or to do something.
We have learned he doesn’t like running or yelling in the home and he’ll give you the funniest little bark to tell you about it. He otherwise has been a very quiet boy. Sampson does still prefer to sleep alone and his bed is his safe space, but my little Chi is slowly wearing him down. I just give him his space when he’s in his bed and don’t try to test his boundaries.
Sampson loves soft treats and that is the fastest way to his heart. He is good with just a leisurely neighborhood stroll and a few outside potty breaks. Sampson hasn’t yet had an accident in my home. Good boy!! He rides well in the car! But most of all….have you seen those eyebrows!?! Very dreamy!
