Is Muttville now accepting tiny white foxes, you ask? Why yes, we are! Salem, for example, is such a sweet, peppy, friendly boy that we couldn’t turn him away on a mere technicality. Salem is active and agile, enjoys long walks, and loves people. Plus, he’s super smart. Check out his game-changing TED Talk on the relationship between body language and treat acquisition. Not only can he hold his own in an intellectual discussion, but he can also help you with PowerPoint!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
He’s a little guy, clocking in at ~6lbs, making him the perfect companion for anywhere you’re interested in taking him! His fur is soft as can be, and he doesn’t mind being picked up and/or carried. Salem loves his walks and is spry for his age! I’ve taken him on ~4 walks a day, usually one longer walk in the morning or evening, and then taking him out a couple of times for short pee breaks during the day.
He’s very dog friendly and doesn’t bark, he enjoys making new friends on walks. He’s a little shadow, and likes being near his people when they’re home. An excellent sleeper, he sleeps on a soft blanket by my bed at night, but would be happy to sleep with you if allowed.
Overall he is just the sweetest boy. He really likes to be near people, and is very happy to sit in your lap while watching tv or reading a book. He is happily curious about other dogs when out and about, but rarely barks unless another dog does first. He is completely person and kid friendly – a group of children delighted in holding him on a recent outing and he did great. He’s also had no trouble going up and down stairs in our neighborhood so he seems to have checked that box.
