Technically Russell may be considered a senior, but you’d never guess it. He’s like that guy in the luxury retirement community who just barely meets the age requirement, but doesn’t have any gray hairs yet and runs ten miles every weekend. Sweet, springy Russell loves hiking, being active, cuddling, and showing off his long legs. He’s a friendly bundle of love who will remind you every day why you chose each other.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Russell is a wonderful little guy! He’s quiet, gentle, and oh so smart. He’s totally house trained, and loves leaving the house on short walks to check in on the neighborhood smells.
His mobility is top notch and he can handle any stairs, though he gets nervous about a big jump into the car or onto the couch, and could use a little help. He’s so cute when he walks – he has the gait of a tiny dressage horse, and brings a wide smile to all passersby!
He loves chicken flavored treats, and has a healthy appetite. He’ll be grateful for all the neck and head scratches you have to give, and likes curling up and falling asleep next to you on the couch. He’s comfortable in the back seat of the car, and doesn’t have any problems going on longer car rides or adventures.
He’s small so pretty easy to direct on leash, but gets excited when other pups cross his path on leash. He’s newly neutered so his testosterone is still fairly high, but as this subsides his meet + greets with other dogs should simmer down a bit.
