Runner Up is a crisp white Yorkie with a lot of casual charisma and zero interest in prizes. Smiling broadly, his fur-trimmed ears akimbo, he can often be found exploring, snuggling or hitchhiking, especially where stairs are involved. He makes fast friends with nice dogs and gentle people, likes a jaunt, and treasures a hug and a cuddle. He’s an uncomplicated citizen of the world with some mild vision impairment, which doesn’t bother him a bit. Save your gold medal for another worthy contestant, says Runner Up. His heart is set on a forever home.

Runner Up is such a sweet boy. He loves roaming around the home and getting stuck in every nook and cranny in the home, and absolutely loves neck scratches. He is super friendly with new people and does well with other dogs in the home. He’s a senior dog with vision impairment, but that doesn’t stop him one bit. If he stumbles, he’ll get right back up and adjust to his surroundings with his tongue hanging out.
Stairs can be difficult for Runner Up, so he does prefer to be carried. He still enjoys the walk around the block at a leisurely pace. He can spend all day in the backyard roaming the same couple of spots, and potty himself there. He’s very quiet (although some snores can be heard), and is a great sleeper, sleeping through most of the day and reserving his energy when he’s able to get attention and be loved on.
