Mutt Rover, mutt Rover, bring your cuteness on over! This boy is majorly adorable with the best shag since Friends-era Jennifer Aniston and in such gorgeous shades of brown. Rover is a spry guy, a great buddy for strolls around the neighborhood. He’s a big fan of other dogs, so could be a good addition to a home with canine siblings.
Here’s a note from his foster family!
Rover is really sweet – we get all the tail wags when we come up to him. He is good on a leash and loves to take his time walking making sure he doesn’t miss any smells. In about 20 minutes we’ll make it about half a block if I don’t encourage him to pick it up, but I prefer to let him soak it all in.
For the vast majority of the day he is sleeping on the couch or at my feet while I work. We had some accidents in the house day one, but by the day two he knew that the backyard is his enormous bathroom and accidents have reduced a ton. I think he’ll definitely continue to be fully house trained as he gets more comfortable with his home and a schedule.
Rover and our resident mutt Couscous are getting along okay. Rover will insert himself in situations if he feels like or sees that Couscous is getting food/treats and he isn’t. He doesn’t seem bothered when Couscous gives him warning growls/barks.
Also, it is clear that a nice quiet home is the best place for this little guy. We had some friends over the other night and Rover was getting a little grumpy from over stimulation by the end of the night. Looking back, I should have put him in another room for some quiet time and would recommend that.
All in all Rover has been great and we are so excited to help him find his forever home. I am sure he is going to go quick. I mean how could you resist this cuteness??
