Roscoe is a wee scruffimuffin delight! That mohawk, those expressive eyes and big ears: can you possibly resist? And why would you? Roscoe is a friendly and peppy fancy prancer who makes friends (human and canine) wherever he goes! He’s lived with cats and other dogs in his previous home and would be happy to make new canine or feline friends.
HERE’S WHAT HIS FOSTER HAS TO SAY!
It’s been a joy having Roscoe around this past week! All he really requires are cuddles, lots of warm blankets and pillows, and a short walk. Roscoe is a 6 lb super mellow boy who loves spending the day sleeping and snuggling. Since he’s so small, he gets cold a lot and I find him shivering constantly. He’s always being dressed in his warm sweaters and swaddled by blankets. He’s a really good boy and is house trained!
He does seem to be a bit picky when it comes to meal times – maybe because he is missing a lot of teeth? He’s not a huge fan of kibble but LOVES just simple rice and boiled chicken with chicken bone broth. He also has been liking Daves dog food and Open Farms harvest chicken! I recently bought him a doggie cupcake that was peanut butter based which he refused to touch. He also doesn’t like apples when I mixed it in his food haha. Most of the times I hand feed him a bit at first then he starts eating on his own.
I can say for certain that Roscoe LOVES people! He will follow you around and keep you in his sight. This means, however, that he doesn’t love being by himself. He’ll definitely do best in a home where his people are home most of the time but he may also just need some time to work on feeling secure about being alone.
Overall this cute little scruffy dude is sweet boy who is looking for a warm lap to snuggle in (and a fancy sweater to wear)!
