Do you have love to share? Share it with Roderick! The thing is, he will appreciate it sooo much. Roderick is a friendly, cuddly sweetheart who loves to be pet and adores attention, even from strangers. But he’s not a needy boy! He can stay home alone, sleep in his own bed, and doesn’t beg for food while you’re trying to enjoy dinner. One of Roderick’s most notable features is the long, strong tail that acts as a mood meter always pointing to HAPPY.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
On his first evening, he settled in very nicely in a home environment! (He seems VERY comfortable at home and just relaxed/slept in dog bed.) He slept great in the dog bed on the floor of my bedroom near me. Roderick is perfectly house trained ! He’s not scared of cars, not scared of elevators, city noises don’t bother him, and he rides the Muni with no problems!
He doesn’t beg when I eat! He did fine when I left him for 5 min in the apartment alone as a test, I heard a couple whines but that was it. Stairs are difficult for him, he would do best in a stair free home. On walks he gets very excited to meet other dogs. So far he’s been really good at meeting small and medium dogs, and hasn’t bothered them too much. He is able to jump on and off the sofa without a problem.
He can handle casual outdoor dining! I took him to eat outside where there were a lot of people and he did super well. He was very calm around my friend’s small yappy dog who was jealous; Roderick doesn’t react and continues to be friendly with him. – He has spent time with a 3 year old and a 6 year old – he enjoys anyone’s company and their pats :) He sits quietly next to kids as they play.Roderick is super friendly with all strangers on Very interested in people. He’s friendly on walks, wants to sniff humans, seems friendly towards small children as well. He’s extremely cuddly and LOVES to be pet.
Overall, I think he is doing SO well in a home and is so good – he’s very fit to be adopted immediately.
