Small as he is, Maltese mix Robert Handa has a jumbo personality. Packed into his scruffy white frame is a confident chap whose hearing and vision impairments do not stop him from swaggering around in search of sunspots and mild evening breezes like an alpha. Statement eyebrows add some pomp, and his willingness to snuggle into a lap or occupied dog bed lend some sweet affection to the vibe. He’s a dog for all seasons, this one, and frequently hilarious, though not always intentionally. We firmly believe it does not get any better than that. Agreed?
Here is what his foster has to say about sweet Robert:
He is a sweetie who would love to be the king of the castle with loving attention for him as he learns to navigate his surroundings and feel safe. He could, also, do well in a home with calm doggies and cats. Despite being blind and deaf, he is smart and with gentle consistent guidance will be slowly able to map out his surroundings. He is a couch potato, sleeps most of the day and soundly all through the night (wonderful bed warmer with you or can sleep in his own bed). He weighs only 10 lbs and doesn’t mind being picked up since he cannot do stairs. He is pretty regular with a potty schedule and dinner schedule..
When you approach him with your hand in front of his face for recognition- his tail wag confirms that it’s you and your heart smiles
