Rip Van Winkle

#11532
Terrier
Male
24 lbs (medium)
Status: Adopted

Dapper Rip Van Winkle appears to have fallen into his deep sleep around 1965 while teaching English Lit to college sophomores. His noble eyebrows match a salt-and-pepper cardigan of velvety fur. Tidy whiskers add to his distinguished air, while his persistent wagging reveals a polite curiosity about new friends. This lovely gent is ready to explore the modern world with loving companions, especially if cuddles and scritches are part of the journey.

Here’s some notes from his foster:

Rip Van Winkle has so far been the perfect gentleman.

He seems completely house trained. He doesn’t want to do his business in the yard, he will wait until you take him out for a walk so I think he’d be fine in a home with or without a yard.

He gets very excited when he meets another dog so he’d probably enjoy a home with other pets. Given his poor vision, he likes so know others are around.

He sleeps well in his own bed, and will happily hang out home alone in a comfortable bed if you need to leave him.

He’s very food motivated and will crawl over you to get a sniff of what you are eating.

He loves to walk and walks well.

He has not barked once. He is a very good boy and I think he’ll do well where ever he lands. He likes to lounge over anyone who will let him lie on them, kids and grown ups alike.
