Rihanna is ready to be the superstar in your life!

This super adorable Doxie girl comes to us from Contra Costa County. She is very outgoing and loves to explore and be the center of attention. She is also great with dogs of all sizes and is a social butterfly. Like most Doxie’s, she is very friendly and has a fun personality. She may be a newbie here at Muttville, but is already a staff and volunteer favorite!

Rihanna is 13 years young and weighs 14 pounds.

Here’s what Rihanna’s fosters have to say about this cutie:

Rihanna is a very sweet girl & she’s as quiet & mellow as can be. She’s very content spending the day snoozing, but is also happy to wake up for pets & to give a few kisses in return! She’s very relaxed & can be very content having a day in. Rihanna is not the most active. She still enjoys trips to new places though, but she does need a little extra time getting there. She appears to do great with other dogs! We are working on house training & she is getting better every day! Pee-pads have been effective. Rihanna does need to be taken out often though, she’s getting the hang of it. She absolutely loves to wrap herself up in a blanket! I’ve found myself looking for her several times, only to find her snuggled up under her favorite comforter!

Rihanna is mellow, easy going & quite literally down to earth, but has a lot of personality & spunk. Ever the explorer, she’ll make her own fun & provide you with hours of entertainment. This one marches to the beat of her own drum. Almost everything about Rihanna is low to the ground, including her energy level. She is anything but boring, however, she enjoys seeing new places & learning about new things. Rihanna neither seeks attention from our dog at home, nor avoids him. She pretty much just carries on as if he wasn’t there. She could be the only lady in the home or be platonic friends with a dog of any size. She finds it hard to navigate stairs so we’ve been picking her up. Here house-training is generally good. I’d say she’s 90% there & attribute the last 10% to her being in a new place & adapting to a new routine & us adapting to her. She went an entire workday without an accident on day 1 & we think that is quite impressive. She has done super well being left alone but don’t deprive yourself the experience of taking her to the pet store & letting her choose her own bone. Her nightly routine involves becoming completely possessed, digging, barking, snorting & nesting into blankets until completely camouflaged. She also enjoys car rides & could be all about that #vanlife. She barks infrequently – her whole body lifts off the ground when she tries for a loud one!
